One of the really cool things about the Elkhart County Fair is that they bring in different acts, and the price of the show is included in your fair ticket. This year, the "big" act was Josh Turner. Of course, there's only so much room in the grandstand, so you have to sit there pretty much all day to reserve your seats and make sure you can get in... A BIG thank you, by the way to N's cousins who sat there and saved seats for all of us! I like Josh Turner because his music is more on the bluegrass side than most country music, and because he keeps his music pretty clean- he doesn't talk about drinking, or immorality, etc. Plus, his wife tours with him and plays the keyboard for him... how sweet is that? It was a great show and I'm glad we got the chance to go!
It was pretty humid and sticky this day, but I really really wanted to wear my boots. I had lugged them all the way from Texas, after all!! It turned out to not be too hot after the sun went down, so it wasn't too bad. Plus, I got to eat some BBQ rabbit... so, a good day all around! :)
